The Guidelines for Using Our Site

ToyHouse Product Embargo Policy

  • Purpose This policy outlines the rules and expectations regarding embargoed products — items that have a restricted release date or confidential information prior to official public launch. The purpose is to protect product confidentiality, ensure fair market timing, and maintain compliance with manufacturer or brand partner requirements.
  • Scope This policy applies to:
  • All retail partners of ToyHouse LLC
  • All embargoed products, marketing materials, and related assets received from suppliers, licensors, or brand partners.
  • Definition of Embargoed Products

An embargoed product is any item for which a specific release date, sales date, or disclosure date has been established by The LEGO Company, and these may apply to:

  • Product images and marketing materials
  • Pricing and promotional details
  • Inventory listings or SKU announcements
  • Physical or digital product sales and shipments
  • Policy Requirements
  • Non-Disclosure: Employees and partners must not disclose, publish, or display any embargoed product or related information before the official release date.
  • Inventory Management: Embargoed products must be stored securely, labeled clearly as “EMBARGOED – DO NOT SHIP/SELL UNTIL [DATE]”.
  • System Controls: E-commerce listings, preorders, and public catalogs must remain hidden or password-protected until embargo lift.
  • Distribution Compliance: No customer shipments or dealer allocations may occur before the embargo date.
  • Marketing & PR: Advertising, social media posts, or press releases must be scheduled for the approved release window only.
  • Enforcement Violations of this policy — including accidental early release or disclosure — may result in:
  • Suspension of supplier privileges
  • Disciplinary action, up to termination of contract
  • All embargo breaches must be reported immediately to the info@toyhousellc.com
  • Exceptions

Any exceptions to the embargo date must be approved in writing by the brand partner or ToyHouse management prior to release. Verbal authorizations are not valid.
