About this set

LEGO Ideas Typewriter (21327) recreates a classic manual typewriter in brick form, with 2,079 pieces and working details that reward close inspection. Pressing a letter key raises the centre typebar, the carriage travels across the frame, and real paper can be fed through the platen roller. The design takes its cue from the typewriter used by LEGO Group founder Ole Kirk Kristiansen, while an accompanying booklet contains a letter written and signed by Thomas Kirk Kristiansen in 43 language versions. Released in 2021 and now retired, the 18+ set measures over 27 cm wide and 26 cm deep.
